Crowe advises VALEARA on the acquisition of KBAP, KBAV and MVZ-Psyche

Advisory

Crowe BPG and Crowe MHL advised VALEARA, a leading provider of psychiatric and neurological care, on the acquisition of KBAP, KBAV and MVZ-Psyche. KBAP and KBAV (Köln-Bonner Akademie für Psychotherapie/Verhaltenstherapie) are training institutes for psychotherapists. MVZ-Psyche is a medical care center for psychotherapy, psychosomatics and psychiatry. Various clinical pictures are treated there, including depression, anxiety disorders, panic attacks and eating disorders.

In addition to expanding its patient-oriented range of services to the Bonn region, VALEARA is also entering the field of training and further education through the acquisition, thus supporting hundreds of students every year on their way to becoming licensed psychotherapists. The add-on is VALEARA's fourth acquisition. The GENUI portfolio company is thus on its way to becoming the undisputed market leader in North Rhine-Westphalia.

The Crowe BPG team (crowe-bpg.de), which was responsible for the financial due diligence and the economic SPA advice, consisted of Andreas Hoffmann, WP and Partner (overall lead), and Holger Redle (Senior Associate). The tax due diligence was carried out by Crowe MHL (mhl.de) from Hamburg. The tax team included Jens Scharfenberg, RA, WP, StB and responsible partner, Lucas Wessels, StB and partner, and Henning Apenburg (senior tax consultant).
